Kino immer anders

In a radioactive post-apocalyptic future, sex has become a spectator sport. Most of the population — now classified as “Sex Negatives” — can no longer experience pleasure and instead flock to the underground nightclub Café Flesh to watch the few remaining “Sex Positives” perform surreal, erotic stage shows. But when one performer starts to question the rules of this decaying society, tensions rise and desires begin to mutate into something more dangerous.

Directed by Rinse Dream, Café Flesh is a punk-infused fever dream that mixes science fiction, satire, and performance art into a genre-defying experience. Originally released as an adult film in 1982, Café Flesh has since gained cult status for its surreal design and punk-art sensibility. The explicit content is largely separate from the main narrative, allowing us to show this edited version that preserves the film’s visual flair, absurdity, and biting social commentary.
