Cinema Simply Different

The dynamic duo Batman and Robin needs to save the world once again – and this time they’re fighting the four notorious villains Joker, Catwoman, Penguin and Riddler. They want to take over world domination by using a dehydrator that can drain humans of all liquid. With a straight face and a good dose of irony Batman defends himself with shark repellent, tries desperately to get rid of a ticking bomb at the harbour and explains to Robin why alcoholics are people, too.

Based on the Batman TV series from the 1960s, this film possesses the same charming humour and colourful naiveté. Instead of the dark and mysterious Batman we are used to today, the Bruce of the 60s has a dry but very present humour. He and Robin run around in coloured tights and paper masks, the sets are always just on the verge of being tacky and the characters’ one-liners make for a memorable experience.
